1. Scope
This privacy notice covers two different things:
- The WhoUseMyPort desktop application that scans local ports and shows process information on your device.
- The website at whousemyport.com, which publishes downloads, support content, release notes, and policy pages.
2. Desktop app data practices
The desktop app is designed for local inspection. The port, protocol, PID, process name, command, and state information shown in the UI are gathered from the local machine so the app can answer the question you asked it locally.
- The app does not require you to create an account.
- The app stores user-interface preferences such as language or refresh behavior locally on the device.
- The app's purpose is to inspect local port ownership, not to send your port list to us for processing.
- If you use Export for OpenClaw in a compatible build, the report stays local until you choose to copy and paste it into OpenClaw, email, or another tool.
If you contact support by email, any screenshots, system details, or notes you send become part of the support conversation you initiated.
3. Website data practices
Like most websites, the hosting platform may process standard request information needed to serve pages and files, keep the service secure, and diagnose operational issues.
That can include information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and response status.
The site currently exists to publish documentation and downloadable files. We do not require registration to read support articles or download the current public builds.
4. Email support
If you send email to timesrunback@gmail.com, we receive the information you choose to include in your message and attachments.
We use that information to respond to your request, reproduce reported issues, and improve the related support content on this site.
5. OpenClaw and copied diagnostics
If you copy a structured port report from the app and paste it into OpenClaw or another assistant, you are choosing to share that text with the system you pasted it into.
WhoUseMyPort does not automatically transmit the report on your behalf.
6. Advertising disclosures
If Google AdSense or other Google advertising products are enabled on this website, Google and its partners may use cookies, web beacons, device information, IP address, or similar technologies to serve ads, limit repetition, and measure performance.
- We will not present ads as if they were download buttons, menu items, or support instructions.
- Advertising, if enabled, is secondary to the site's primary purpose of product information, support, and release documentation.
- Where legally required, consent choices should be presented before personalized advertising is activated.
Google explains how partner-site data is used here:
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Google ad controls are available here:
My Ad Center.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Essential site functionality may rely on standard browser behavior such as caching or basic session handling by the hosting platform.
If advertising is introduced, additional cookies or similar identifiers may be used for ad delivery, frequency management, fraud prevention, consent handling, and measurement.
8. Retention and sharing
- Support emails are retained as long as reasonably needed to respond, follow up, and maintain support history.
- Website request data may be retained by the hosting provider according to its operational logging practices.
- We do not sell desktop app port data as a product or customer list.
9. Your choices
- You can choose not to email support.
- You can remove the desktop app from your device if you no longer want to use it.
- You can review and manage Google advertising preferences through Google's own controls when those services are active.
